This program allows you to stream online radio stations without having to run a bloated player or having a internet browser window open. It offerers a nice and handy menu with access to the station list in your local language.

I get a message saying the language i have selected has a incomplete translation

This will happen when the language you have selected is not fully updated compared English list, and some things cannot be translated for you. The result being that Radio Stream Player will show the English text when it fails to find one in the language you have selected.

Due to the fact that TheXSoft.com cannot afford to pay for translations we require the community of users to translate for us, and if you are willing to help out please read more on how you can do that here

Does this program send any information home?

In short No.

More detail.

  • Stable versions will offer to send crash reports and provide you a dialog showing everything piece of data thats going to be sent.
  • Stable/Beta versions will both do automatic update checks, this is done by downloading a text file and this process will not send any information. But will open a connection against TheXSoft.com
  • Beta versions will automatically send crash information to TheXSoft so help debug crashes.

The information in the crash reports are encrypted when being transfered and the information will only be used to improve our programs.

My firewall detects the program trying to open a connection, why?

Radio Stream Player has a buildt in autoupdate that will try to download a text file ( That contains update information ) from this website once a week, if that fails it will try to download this text file from another mirror. Other then that A connection will offcourse be opened up while connecting to a radio station.

I broke my translation or radio list, can i force it to update?

Yes, in Edit station list  there is a Force update button that will make it download any update even if its not newer.

Can i force a update check?

Yes offcourse, in the Help menu there is a force update check.

Why does Radio Stream Player tray icon dispears when i minimize it?

If windows has "hide inactive windows" active this may happen, read more about how to get around in the HowTo guide

Why do you require the .NET Framework?

Using the .NET framework means we dont have to waste our time reinventing the wheel, it basicly translates into spending coding features the users want.

My local language is not supported, how can i get Radio stream player in my language?

Since we here at TheXSoft.com dont know every language on earth nor can we afford to hire someone to translate for us, we need your help to do it. If your willing to help translate go here.

Can i add shoutcast stations ( Winamp streams) to this player?

Can i add my own stations to this application?
